1. KILL YOUR CRAVINGS WITH FRUITS
While junk food is loaded with refined sugars, fruit contains a natural sugar, known as fructose, which may help control the appetite. A Yale University study found that participants who were given a daily dose of fructose in water consumed less calories per day than those given glucose or plain water. Satisfy your own cravings for sweets with fruits. Reach for a banana instead of a brownie, a peach instead of pie. Not only will you feel better, you’ll take in fewer calories.
2. KEEP YOUR FAT INTAKE AT 20 PERCENT OR LESS
To lose body fat and keep it off, you must reduce your daily fat intake. Fat has more calories per ounce than either carbohydrates or proteins, and high intake of fat can lead to obesity, heart disease and circulatory problems. Fat has also been linked to cancer. The typical American diet is nearly 50 percent fat – more than twice the recommended amount. Body Wise International advises that no more than 20 percent of your total daily calories come from fat.

4. EAT A DIET HIGH IN FIBER
In addition to bring calorie-free, the benefits of fiber in the diet are numerous. Soluble fiber slows down absorption of food in the stomach – creating a feeling of fullness – and helps reduce blood cholesterol. Insoluble fiber moves foods through your stomach more quickly, promotes regularity and may help reduce the risk of some forms of cancer. The best sources of soluble fiber are oats, dried beans, lentils, peas, fresh fruit and vegetables. Insoluble fiber can be found in whole-grain breads, dried beans, cereals, pasta and brown rice.
